Come July-August and Delhi University reverberates with the excitement of students mapping out their careers. However, how many of those seek admission are actually interested in higher education? Most of them join because it is the right thing to do and their parents want them to do so.

Majority of the students are burnt out - first giving their Xth board and then their XIIth board exam. There is a lot of pressure and as the exams near the tension mounts. parents also push their children to limits beyond. There is a reason for this -if you get anything less than a 90 per cent you will not get admission in the so called elite college.

The cut off for courses is so high that only the best of the best make it, causing frustration and disappointment to many. This does not mean that those who have secured 65 per cent are not intelligent.
