This admission notification pertains to the Anna University, Government, Government Aided, and the seats surrendered by the self Financing Colleges, Bharathidasan Institute of Technology (BIT) (Bharathidasan University) and Central Electrochemical Research Institute, Karaikudi for admission to B.E./B.Tech. Degree courses. All candidates seeking admission t the above courses should have written the relevant subjects in TNPCEE 2006 conducted by the Anna University.

Candidates can obtain the application form in person from the following Colleges/Banks by paying the application fee of Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- in case of Tamilnadu SC/ST candidates) in cash/Demand draft drawn in favour of the Director (Admissions), Anna University payable at Chennai.

The TNEA 2006 applications are available at various branches of the above said Banks, and the details about the designated branches, are given in the website: www.annauniv.edu/banks
Application forms can also be obtained by post from 25.5.06 from “The Secretary, Tamilnadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA), Anna University, Chennai-25″ by sending a letter of requisition along with a Demand draft for Rs.620/- (Rs.370/- in case of Tamilnadu SC/ST candidates)(which includes Postal charges) towards Application fee and an address label written in capital letters to which the application is to be mailed.
Candidates have to mail the filled up application by post or deliver in person along with demand draft, (if applicable) the Xerox copies of Mark sheet(s), TNPCEE 2006 Hall Ticket and copies of all other relevant certificates so as to reach “The Secretary, TNEA 2006, Anna University, Chennai-600 025″ on or before the due date (15.6.2006) Latest by 5.45 p.m.
Candidates seeking admission under Special Reservations (except Sports Quota) should enclose separate special Reservation application in the prescribed format available in the brochure with an additional fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees One hundred only) in the form of Demand draft for each special reservation with relevant certificates along with the main application and submit either by post or deliver in person.
Candidates seeking admission under Sports Quota are directed to submit their special reservation applications as well as the main application along with documents and additional fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees One hundred only) in the form of Demand draft to “The secretary, TNEA, Examination Centre, Anna University ” Only in person on or before the due date (15.6.2006) latest by 5.45 pm.

Candidates can also download the application form from the website www.annauniv.edu/tnea2006 . The filled up application along with the application fee, (Demand draft Rs.500/- for General category and Rs.250/- for Tamilnadu SC/ST candidates) and copies of relevant documents should reach “The Secretary, TNEA on or before the due date (15.6.06) latest by 5.45 pm.
All Demand Drafts should be drawn in favour of Director, Admissions, Anna University payable at Chennai, on any Nationalized/Scheduled bank dated on or after 25.5.06. Candidate is instructed to write his/her TNPCEE Reg. No. and name and address on the reverse side of the Demand Draft.
Tamilnadu SC/ST candidates alone can avail fee concession by producing a copy of the Community Certificate. Schedule for Issue of Application Form and Receipt of Application:

Application mailed by post/delivered in person should reach the secretary, TNEA 2006, Anna University, Chennai 600 025 on or before the deadline. To ensure proper delivery, it is advised to send by registered/Speed post.
