Eligibility:
Stream I: (i) Bachelor’s degree with mathematics as a subject till class XII.
Stream II: (ii) Graduates with a minimum of two years experience in any of the following sectors namely government, regulatory bodies, industry, research/academic institutions, donor/consultant organizations.
Candidates at (i) above will do three semesters of course work and one semester of major project.
Candidates at (ii) above will do two semesters of course work and two semesters of major project (at their place of work).
Selection procedure: Candidates will be shortlisted based on a written test. Selection from shortlisted candidates will be on the basis of group discussions and interviews to be conducted by the University at New Delhi.
The written test will be conducted by the TERI University at specified centres. The test will be of two hours duration and will consist of one paper with 150 multiple-choice questions. The questions will be divided into three sections
(a) Proficiency in English
(b) Analytical Reasoning
(c) Quantitative Aptitude
Wrong answers would invite negative marking.

(b) Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent.
Full time students who possess a BTech degree in the relevant field or equivalent are required to have a valid GATE score and a minimum CGPA of 7.5 on a 10 point scale or 70% marks.
Admission to the PhD programmes will be made on the basis of an interview conducted by the Centre/ Department concerned. Candidates may apply at any time through the year. Admission is subject to vacancies available in the relevant specializations.

For candidates with a bachelor’s degree in Economics/Commerce/Geography, a relaxation of 5%/0.75 CGPA could be allowed.
Selection procedure: Admission to the M.Sc. programmes is made on the basis of a written test conducted by the University. Applications are invited from the candidates by advertising the programmes in the Employment News/ some leading newspapers in February/March every year.
The written test will be for one-hour duration and will consist of one paper with 100 multiple-choice questions. The questions will be divided into three sections:
