Eligibility Criteria
1. i. Admission to B.Ed. course in Non-Government Colleges shall be open to those candidates who have obtained Bachelors Degree (Honors/General) Scheme in Science, Arts & Commerce from the University of Kashmir or from any other university recognized as equivalent thereto by the University of Kashmir. Candidates with B.C.A/BBA degree and B.Sc Agriculture and B.E are also eligible for admission to the B.Ed degree programme. (Notification No. F (Amend St-B.Ed)Acad/KU/04 Dated 1st Nov.-04).
ii. Bachelors degree obtained by the candidates under 10+2+3 pattern in different system i.e. one, two, three subjects as against the four subject system, in each part of the Under-graduate course, applicable in this university,has been granted equivalence to the corresponding Degrees of this University.(Notice No. F (Equi-B.Ed) Acad/KU/04 Dated 6th Sept-04).
iii. Candidates having passed their graduation under 10+2+2 scheme and are presently working as teachers in the Govt. / Private Schools with at least with two years teaching experience in a Govt. recognized institute are also eligible for seeking admission to the B.Ed Course/Examination (Notice No. F(Adm-B.Ed/M/Ed/M/A courses)Acd/KU/04 dated 29 June -04).
2. Local candidates who are now appearing in 3rd year (final) Bachelors Degree course examination of the University of Kashmir can also submit their application forms in anticipation of their result by the due date for provisional admission to B.Ed. course. However, the application forms of such candidates shall be considered for admission only if they furnish documentary evidence in support of having passed the qualifying examination in full at least one week before the commencement of the session failing which their candidature will not be considered and they shall have no right whatsoever, to claim for the admission to B.Ed. course during the ensuing academic session.
How To Apply:
Application forms can be obtained on all working days from the office of the Dean, College Development Council, University of Kashmir, Srinagar and from branches of Jammu & Kashmir Bank in following cities against cash payment of Rs. 700/- per form/ Demand draft of Rs. 700/- issued by J & K Bank/State bank of India/Punjab National Bank in case down loaded from website favoring , Dean, College Development Council, University of Kashmir, payable at Hazratbal Srinagar. The application form must be duly filled in and attached with Xerox copies of certificates given in the guidelines/Prospectus/website.

The application form duly filled must be attached with Xerox copies of certificates accompanied with a demand draft of Rs. 700/- issued by J&K Bank /State Bank of India/ Punjab National Bank, favoring Dean, College Development Council, University of Kashmir, Payable at Hazratbal Srinagar upto 31-03-2006 and from 01-04-06 to 15-04-06 with late fee of Rs. 1000/-
Applications can also be obtained by post on a written request accompanied by requisite demand draft for Rs. 700/- and self addressed envelope size 32 X 25 cm affixed with postal stamps worth Rs. 85/- from the Dean, College Development Council, University of Kashmir Srinagar-190006, J&K. The Demand Draft No. with date must be written in application forms. Application forms, and guidelines together with the other details & list of Colleges can also be downloaded from the Click here to download B.Ed Application Form The downloaded application forms completed in all respects together with the crossed Demand Draft of Rs. 700/- issued by any branch of the J&K bank/ State Bank of India or Punjab National Bank in favour of Dean, College Development Council, university of Kashmir, payable at Hazratbal Srinagar, should reach on or before 31st of March, 2006. Indian postal orders, cheques etc, shall not be accepted. The amount once paid shall not be refundable/adjustable under any circumstances whatsoever.
