Course: General Management Programme (GMP)
Description: General Management Programme (GMP) leading to the award of Executive PG Diploma in General Management. It is a full time residential programme.

Candidates applying for One Year General Management programme must hold a minimum of three years Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University in India/abroad in any discipline, be employed in a full-time job, must have at least five years of relevant managerial experience as on March 31, 2007 in an organization of repute in the public, private or nongovernmental sector after completing graduation.
Application Procedure: A candidate has the option of either taking XAT 2007 or submissions of GMAT Score. Those taking XAT need to register for XAT 2007, being held on January 07, 2007 and the last date of application is November 30, 2007. GMAT candidates need to submit GMAT scores taken during January 01, 2005 to December 31, 2006 and the application form should reach XLRI by January 15, 2007.

Fees: Each participant in this programme will be charged Rs 6 Lakhs which will include tuition fees and other academic necessities, and expenses for Boarding & Lodging and International exposure. Along with the fees the participant will be required to deposit an additional refundable amount of Rs. 20,000/-. The above fees are payable in four installments at the beginning of each term. First installment is Rs. 2, 20,000, (including refundable deposits) second and third installment is Rs. 1, 50,000 each and the Fourth installment is Rs. 1, 00,000.

Instead of taking the XAT, FPM candidates can also submit GMAT/GRE/GATE/UGC JRF (research) results. Those who have done their PGP from XLRI, any IIM, MDI, FMS Delhi, or XIM Bhubaneswar, with a CQPI of at least 6.00 or equivalent will also be exempted from appearing in the XAT (and they may also be exempted from the first year of coursework). Those who will not be taking the XAT should visit Fellowship Students will be paid a fellowship of Rs. 10,000/-per month for four years and no tuition fees will be charged. The .Institute provides financial support up to Rs.1,00,000/- for participation in conferences in India and abroad. Besides this, there is a contingency grant up to Rs.20, 000 per annum
